An organization founded by Linda Chavez, this group has produced a number of remarkable documents such as the book, The Failure of Bilingual Education and a brochure in both English and Spanish, "A Parent's Guide to Bilingual Education. Parents can order the pamphlet toll-free by caling 1-800-819-2343.

English First English First was founded in 1986 and has three goals:

    (1) to make English America's official language. (2) to eliminate costly and failed programs like bilingual education and bilingual ballots and (3) to give every child the opportunity to learn English while young.
English for the Children, the group founded by Ron Unz who fought to ban bilingual education in California.
